GODO Endowment Fund

The GODO Endowment Fund assures that the Giovale Open Deck Observatory will continue to provide a high-quality educational experience for Lowell Observatory guests. Support from this fund provides for the care and maintenance of the GODO structures, telescopes, and exhibits. The GODO Endowment Fund was created in 2019 by the Lowell Observatory Foundation Board thanks to a generous gift from Ginger and John Giovale. We welcome new gifts to the GODO Endowment Fund through current donations or a designation in your will, trust, life insurance, or other estate planning vehicle.

Astronomy Discovery Center Endowment Fund

Support from the Astronomy Discovery Center (ADC) Endowment Fund will assure the highest quality experience for Lowell Observatory guests. Annual payouts from this fund will support operation, maintenance, and upgrades to the Kemper & Ethel Marley Foundation Astronomy Discovery Center, its theaters and exhibits as well as development, production, and marketing of ADC programming. We welcome new gifts to the Astronomy Discovery Center Endowment Fund through current donations or a designation in your will, trust, life insurance, or other estate planning vehicle.

Historic Preservation Fund

The Historic Preservation Fund supports the preservation of Lowell Observatory’s rich collection of historic papers, correspondence, research materials, and instruments through the efforts of the Putnam Collection Center staff and volunteers. This is a permanently endowed fund that is intended to last in perpetuity. Michael and Karen Kitt, longtime archives volunteers and supporters, provided the initial contribution to this endowed fund in 2018. We welcome new gifts to the Historic Preservation Fund through current donations or a designation in your will, trust, life insurance, or other estate planning vehicle.

Mars Hill Fund

Lowell Observatory’s Mars Hill campus is recognized as a National Historic Landmark and an Arizona Treasure, and was named one of “The World’s Most Important Places” by Time Magazine. The Mars Hill Fund is a permanent endowment that supports the enhancement, maintenance, and repair of the facilities and campus on Mars Hill and the preservation of our archival collections. We welcome new gifts to the Mars Hill Fund through current donations or a designation in your will, trust, life insurance, or other gift planning vehicle.
